Products and Services

Rib-Eye Steak


These steaks vary somewhat in texture. It is cut from the choice area of the eye of the rib. These very tender cuts are usually 1/2 inch to 2 inches and are served with the bone. The boneless form of this steak is called the Rib Steak. This cut appears on our menu as Rib-Eye Steak (boneless) and Cote de Bouef (bone).


Porterhouse Steak


This steak comes from the large end of the short loin. It contains the same T shaped bone. This cut contains more filet than the T-Bone however making it a bit more desirable.


Tenderloin


This cut is a relatively long and narrow section that runs through the short loin and the sirloin areas.


Strip Steak


This cut comes from the small end of the short loin. It is usually cut about 1 inch thick. This steak is also called the New York Strip Steak and appears on our menu as such. Ruddy and Dean serves this cut both with the bone and without.

Hanger Steak


This steak is also called the Butcher's Cut or Hanging Tender. This cut appears on our menu as Hanger Steak or Medallion of Hanger.

Our party room, with a terrace overlooking Manhattan, has a 125 person capacity. We offer delicious and tasty catering options for all occasions.

EXCELLENT! I have been to tons of steakhouses in NYC and Ruddy's is is as good as any. Great ambiance and bar too. Try the Porterhouse for two. Great portions for sides.

A bit of the city comes to the island

Ruddy & Dean has a fantastic view of the NYC skyline. With a balcony on the second floor, this is the perfect place to dine in the summer if you're looking for a view. However, they are a bit pricey for what they offer. They do have a good choice of entres and appetizers but it's not as varied as I'd like to see. Their catering menu for private parties isn't much better. Service is ok but the servers all seem very young and not very experienced. Go for the atmosphere but not for the food.

I just ate here for the first time tonight with my wife and four-year old son and felt compelled to write this review. Everything we had from the scallop starter to the rare ribeye, right through dessert was impeccible. Service was just as good as the food, and the courses were perfectly timed.

Staten Island's Best Kept Secret

Danny, the owner has done his homework. What more could one ask for. Good.... no, great food, pleasant decor and good service. From the bread assortment with the flavored butter to a great magarita, the food is mouthwatering with generous portions. The menu is flawless. (No, I haven't been paid to write this review). The pizza is comparable to Grimaldi's (all fresh ingredients), and the chicken dishes are to die for. Check out the chicken breast topped w/fresh proscioutto or mozeralla chesse wrapped in bacon with garlic mashed potatoes and spinach ($18) it's enough for two diners. Need I say more.

Best Fried Calamari!

My boyfriend and I have declared Ruddy and Dean's "Our Spot". Our meals have always been the BEST - excellent service! Get the fried calamari - trust me. Everything is well timed for the perfect meal.
